About
EST. 2016 – PRESENT
Founded
Hawaiiverse was originally created as a multimedia project showcasing information about our island home.
Reforged
The company refocused its efforts towards supporting local businesses at the height of the pandemic. We began with a coupon directory with 40 businesses in Hilo, then quickly expanded to other islands.
Expansion
We started the Hawaiiverse Podcast (now the Keep it Aloha Podcast), and launched our online store. We also began hosting high school and college interns seeking hands-on knowledge in business development, marketing, and event planning.
Recognition
In spring of 2022, we were named the HVCA Paradise Startup People’s Choice Award Recipient. In the fall, we launched the Hawaiiverse App.
New Pursuits
In September, the Hawaiiverse Foundation was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We also launched our first card game – Moke Gabs.

The Mission
To revitalize our local economy by providing essential business and workforce development opportunities to small businesses and underserved, rural communities.
The Vision
A strong and sustainable Hawai’i, built on a foundation of empowered local talent.
About the Foundation
At Hawaiiverse Foundation, we’re dedicated to revitalizing Hawai’i’s economy by supporting local small businesses and underserved communities. Since 2020, we’ve connected residents with over 1,000 Hawai’i-owned businesses through our coupon directory, shared inspiring stories through the Keep It Aloha Podcast (launched as the Hawaiiverse Podcast), and provided hands-on workforce development programs. From hosting student internships to partnering with local creators and launching innovative tools like the Hawaiiverse App and the Moke Gabs game, we’re making a real difference across the islands. Your donation helps us grow our local economy, empower small businesses, and keep Hawai’i’s talent here at home. Together, we can preserve what makes Hawai’i special and build a brighter, more sustainable future for generations to come.
